Nuix Announces Deep Learning Framework in Nuix Neo Platform

Sydney, Australia – Leading provider of investigative analytics and intelligence software, Nuix, today announced significant advances in AI integration into its Nuix Neo platform which accelerates performance of search and processing for its global customer base.

Launched last year, Nuix Neo is its next-gen unified platform that helps customers identify, process and understand complex data in ways that are faster, easier and smarter.

Nuix’s owned Cognitive AI is integrated into Nuix Neo, with 500+ out-of-the-box models that enable customers to perform high accuracy data classification, categorization, extraction and risk scoring for their large data sets. Uniquely, Nuix owns its language models, meaning results are highly explainable and defensible.

“We have chosen to invest in our own language models meaning that we know the dataset, understand the training, we know who trained it, and understand the design” says Jonathan Rubinsztein, Nuix Group CEO.  “We also have governance in place to update ethical controls as technology, regulations and societal expectations evolve.  Meaning we can vouch for the responsibility of our AI.”

Customers who are using Nuix Neo are seeing significant improvements in search accuracy, with up to 600% reduction in false positives and up to 20% reduction in false negatives.  Customer efforts that used to take 6 weeks are now being achieved in 12 hours on Nuix Neo.

At XLR8/24, Nuix’s customer event, the company announced that the engine in Nuix Neo will soon have an embedded deep learning framework.  This enables the platform to natively create, understand and use data as mathematical vectors, unlocking a vast capability and dramatic customer benefits.  An example is the ability to conduct semantic search, an advanced search capability that allows users to search based on meaning, intent and context, rather than keyword matching.  The deep learning framework supports the integration of public large language models (LLMs), enabling customers to perform sematic search across multiple language and image formats, as well as text.

“This is a game-changer for Nuix, and we are excited to announce a capability that very few offer” says Rubinsztein.  “This accelerates enhanced search capability for our customers, enabling them to get to the truth in their data faster. And this is only just the beginning.  Further development of Nuix’s deep learning framework will be directed at supporting the integration of other publicly available LLMs to drive future functionality in things like multi-lingual transcription and translation, retrieval augmented generation (RAG), text summarization and advanced interactive user experience with AI chatbots.”

Nuix Neo also enables the integration of customers’ own AI models to interact and augment the platform.  The search results from these 3rd party models are made easily identifiable through colour coding and meta data, allowing customers to transparently distinguish between Nuix AI results and others.

Nuix also announced today improved functionality for its market-leading product, Nuix Workstation. The investment in the next release of Workstation, v.10, Nuix will deliver enhanced functionality around Engine support for additional data types.
