SYDNEY, NSW 24 August 2021 — Global software company Nuix (www.nuix.com, ASX:NXL) today announced it has completed the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) CPS 234 assessment of its compliance with the regulation. CPS 234 mandates that all APRA-regulated companies – and the suppliers that handle their information assets – maintain an information security capability commensurate with the evolving size and extent of the threats to those assets.
“Our global customer base operates within a zero-trust security model; completing this CPS 234 security assessment for our Nuix SaaS environment shows our financial services customers they can rely on us to protect their most sensitive data,” said Chris Woods, Chief Information Security Officer at Nuix.
“We are assured by Nuix’s commitment and investment in security, and are pleased to see their completion of CPS 234,” said Grant Whiteley, Partner at KordaMentha. “This is why we use Nuix Discover® on SaaS for our regulator, law firm, and financial clients. Our clients trust us to handle their most sensitive data and we need vendors like Nuix who are in step with our security posture.”
CPS 234 is the latest in Nuix’s long list of security assessments. In 2020, Nuix completed the Information Security Registered Assessors Program (IRAP) – a stringent security assessment for organizations that handle Australian Government data – for Nuix Discover. Nuix has also been certified under ISO/IEC 27001, the international standard for information security management.
